Interrupting the wedding posts (what a relief). Ian and I took a weekend trip to San Francisco a lil' while back to get our visas for France. (Yes, you do have physically show yourself to get a visa to France. Nutzo, right?) Did you know San Francisco is one of the coolest places around? It's one of my favorite cities I've ever visited.
And although we were only there for a day and a half, we tried to see as much as possible. Once we finished the 12-hour drive on Saturday (JSYK, Nevada is boring and ugly), we found some chinese food for dinner and crashed at our hotel. The next day, we took a cable car to the Exploratorium which is basically a giant hands-on science experiment museum where dads have more fun than kids. We ended up spending four hours there. It was incredibly fun. Afterwards, we walked around China Town (the biggest in the US), ate a delicious dinner in Little Italy and ended the day shopping in Union Square. Monday, we visited the French Consulate, got approval for our visas, hopped in the car and began the 12-hour return from whence we came. (JSYK, Nevada suuuuuuuuuuuuucks.)
We'll be back, San Fran. Ur 2 kewl 2 b 4gotten.
